At Agentis Energy we have just unveiled a new portal feature allowing customers to monitor demand at the load level. Demand is important because it accounts for a significant portion of your monthly bill. We often explain the difference between demand and usage by comparing the two to a car speedometer and odometer. Your peak demand can be thought of as your fastest speed over the course of a month, while usage is reflective of miles traveled. If demand is monitored and acted upon effectively, these changes can reap major savings for large industrial consumers of electricity.
In addition to the portal advancements that benefit our customers, we would like to offer a few free tools to better assist you. This coming week we are launching a free interval data analysis program for ComEd customers. Interval data is easily accessible through the ComEd website, and combined with our analysis engine may provide instant realizations and opportunities for savings. If you are a ComEd customer interested in taking part in this free program please send us an email at info@agentisenergy.com. We will walk you through the steps to acquire your data, run that file through our analysis engine, and schedule a personal webinar to review your analysis and reports.
On November 12th at 11 a.m. CST we will host a webinar entitled “Understanding Your Bill” at which time we will review basic components of an electric bill, walk through an example of our free interval data analysis, and review the new peak demand-monitoring portion of our web portal. We hope you will join us for this event. You can sign up by clicking here.
Agentis Energy will be exhibiting on November 11th from noon to 5 p.m. CT at the Chicago Section Institute of Food Technologists Suppliers’ Night 2009. If you have interest in attending this event, free passes are available here.
For those of you not in the ComEd region but interested in learning about peak demand, and expected ROI from The Acuity Solution, feel free to send us a note. Although the analysis engine we have is currently optimized for ComEd data, we would be happy to learn more about your utility and help you affect immediate change. It is our aim to become the “Chief Energy Officer” for your company and will gladly take on the challenge to help you drive efficiency.
