ELMHURST, Ill.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Agentis Energy, a new Smart Grid technology company, has created a way for business and institutional users of electricity to take part immediately in the clean technology revolution — and save money in the process. The company’s Acuity Solution™ provides customers with real-time management of energy use, reducing costs and shrinking carbon footprints.
“By enabling energy-intensive enterprises in Illinois and Wisconsin to use less electricity and reduce their carbon footprint, the Acuity Solution makes them more competitive and helps keep jobs local”
Agentis Energy has developed technologies for collecting and analyzing data on a customer’s electricity usage, both facility-wide and by specific machines or devices. The Acuity Solution is a system that tracks kilowatt-hours of usage in real time, calculates electricity costs, reports on demand, and identifies opportunities for savings. The data, analysis, and timely email alerts provided by the Acuity Solution enables customers to make more efficient use of electricity, reduce demand charges from utilities, and choose the supplier and rate structure that best meet their requirements.
“Most organizations pay their utility bills with little knowledge of the factors contributing to what is, after all, a really big expense,” said Tim Stojka, CEO of Agentis Energy. “Our guiding principle in developing the Acuity Solution is that companies need to benchmark and track their energy goals throughout their organizations and encourage the participation and accountability of all employees in reaching those goals.”
Recently Agentis Energy became an Approved Trade Ally contactor in the Smart Ideas for Your Business program of Northern Illinois utility ComEd. It has also been working with utilities and grant organizations in Wisconsin. The company will display at The ComEd Energy Efficiency Expo at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL on May 19th.
“By enabling energy-intensive enterprises in Illinois and Wisconsin to use less electricity and reduce their carbon footprint, the Acuity Solution makes them more competitive and helps keep jobs local,” said Stojka. “Since organizations rarely put one person in charge of energy management, we’re ready to take on that responsibility by acting as a customer’s Chief Energy Officer.”
