Agentis Energy: This clean-technology company based in Elmhurst helps industrial and commercial facilities to manage their energy costs. Founded by Chicago entrepreneur Tim Stojka, Agentis uses Web-based software to analyze energy use in real time. The firm also helps consumers make choices about which electrical and gas suppliers to use. “Agentis calculates your carbon footprint based upon your energy usage so you know the impact that your facility or a specific process has on the environment,” the company’s Web site states. “You can now apply carbon figures to each unit produced or each employee.”
